Solid Energy is a state-owned New Zealand coal mining company, and the country's leading coal producer.
From mines in Waikato, the West Coast of the South Island and Southland, we export coals to coke manufacturers and steelmakers around the world and supply industrial users throughout New Zealand.
Solid Energy's annual coal production is approximately 4 million tonnes, evenly split between metallurgical coals for export and thermal grades for industrial uses and electricity generation within New Zealand.
